In the upcoming Art of War Fighting Championship 15 “SHOWDOWN,” the expert striker from Thailand, Hanchana will face off against Chinese fighter Wu Hao Tian. The 22-year-old fighter Hanchana has been studying Muaythai since he was 7 years old. He fought hundreds of muaythai fights and holds an impressive record of 50 wins, 21 by way of knock out. After transitioning to MMA, Hanchana placed his emphasis on improving his ground skills, and he really shocked the fans with his vast improvement of his ground game. Last July 18th, 2009, in Art of War 13, Hanchana fought Liu Guo Quan, who is known as a strong wrestler. Facing the aggressive wrestler, Hanchana didn’t confine himself to his stand-up skills, but instead used a kimura to control Liu Guo Quan and then quickly moved to a mounted position, and finished the fight with a beautiful armbar. In Art of War 14, facing one of China’s best MMA fighters Dai Shuang Hai, Hanchana was really smart in keeping his distance, preventing the take-down and frustrating the veteran Dai Shuang Hai. Hanchana Dominated the entire fight, and under AOW’s rules, the fight went to a draw. We can see clearly from this fight that Hanchana has made lots of improvements on the ground. This will be the second time that Hanchana faces Wu Haotian in MMA competition. In their first encounter, Wu Haotian defeated Hanchana by decision. Can Hanchana get revenge for his previous loss to Wu Haotian??

Journalist: This will be your second time fighting Wu Hao Tian, and it’s time for you to get revenge. What techniques did Wu Hao Tian use that impressed you the most?

Hanchana: In my last fight against him, I was really shocked by his ground skills, and he really left a good impression on me. He is strong and he is a really good wrestler.

Journalist: How are you preparing for the upcoming fight?

Hanchana: I have been training Muaythai for dozen of years. I am quite confident in my muaythai skills. Now my ground skills are improving step by step also.

Journalist: Your Thai-style sweeping leg and flying knee are very dangerous, is it your plan to use these special muaythai techniques in each fight?

Hanchana: MMA is different from muaythai. I should combine my muaythai techniques with my ground skills. In each of my fights I prepare a different fighting strategy according to the opponent I’m facing. The best strategy is to find a smart way to win the fight quickly. If the audience likes to see it, I will spare no effort to show them my signature flying knees.

Journalist: Who is your favorite MMA fighter who has fought in Art of War?

Hanchana: I like Ao Hai Lin the most, because he is a really aggressive tough fighter and he is well-rounded with excellent technique.

Journalist: What do you want to say to the fans who have always supported you?

Hanchana: I really appreciate their support, and I will use a stunning win to deliver my thanks to them.
