On the main event of the evening, Andy Wang from Taipei, China will square off against Japanese veteran, Atsuhiro Tsuboi. Wang is a veteran of The Ultimate Fighter reality TV show and is an expert grappler. Wang comments, “I have seen Tsuboi in action and he is one tough guy! That’s perfect for me because I’m always looking to fight the toughest guys.” Tsuboi is a veteran of Japan’s Shootboxing circuit and was formerly ranked #1 in allof Japan. Tsuboi is making his second appearance in Art of War, after having a hard-fought DRAW in AOW12 against Dai Shuang Hai. Tsuboi adds, “Andy Wang is an experienced fighter and has made a name for himself. In order to get name, you have to take name, and that is what I am looking to do on September 26.”


Rodney Glunder

Scheduled on the main fight card is Rodney Glunder (25-18-3) versus Antonio Braga Neto (5-1) in a 96 kilogram match. Glunder is a very dangerous striker with victories over Cyrille Diabate, Valentijn Overeem, Cheick Kongo and a stunning KO victory over DREAM middleweight superstar, Melvin Manhoef. A dynamic and explosive fighter, Glunder is a former IBK World Champion and the current Cage Fighters Championship World Champion. He will certainly try to capitalize on his devastating striking skills and look for an early KO over his opponent, Braga Neto.

Braga Neto is the 2008 Mundials Super Heavyweight Jiu-jitsu World Champion as well as the 2008 No-Gi World Champion. One of the best submission grapplers in the world today, Braga Neto will no doubt try to bring the fight to the ground to try and force a submission against Glunder. Braga Neto commented, “Glunder is a tough opponent with a respected background in the striking arts. However, I am hungry and looking to make my mark on MMA. Glunder had better be ready for a fight!”

Norwegian welterweight Simeon Thoresen (11-1) is one of the best prospects out of Europe today. A protege of Dream and Pride superstar Joachim "Hellboy" Hansen, Simeon is a talented grappler and has used his submission prowess to finish almost every opponent he's faced. The Ultimate Warrior Challenge veteran recently won a 4-man tournament, submitting two fighters in one night.“I love the competition that mixed martial arts provides me and I want to rise to be the best in the world at my weight class. Costa will be the most serious test of my career and I am honored to face such a strong and experienced fighter.”

Michael Costa (11-5) is a former Chute Boxe fighter who brings an exciting style to the ring. Now training under the tutelage of former Pride champion Wanderlei Silva, Costa looks to showcase his aggressive striking against the best fighters in the world. A Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Cristiano Marcello, Costa is one of the hardest workers in the sport today and maintains a very healthy lifestyle and strict training regiment. His fighting style is very reminiscent of Wanderlei Silva and Mauricio "Shogun" Rua. Costa adds, “I wish to grow as a fighter and an athlete. I want to fight for many years and I will do my best to represent my gym, my friends, my country and fans. My faith gives me the strength to win. My faith turned me into a MMA fighter.”

Wang Sai (2-1) is one of the best up-and-coming fighters on China’s MMA scene today. With a background in Sanda kickboxing and improving jiu-jitsu, Wang Sai is ready to make his mark in the 78 kg weight division. Coming off a tough submission loss to Swedish fighter, Claes Beverlov, at Art of War 13, Wang Sai is looking to get back on the winning track. Wang Sai remarks, “I fought a very tough fight in Art of War 13 against Beverlov. He is a strong opponent and I should have been more careful. I am addicted to this game, especially to the sensation of having my hand raised in victory at the end. This time, I will give my Korean opponent my best fight and make a great show for the fans.”

Lee Yong Jae (MMA pro debut) is another young and rising fighter in Korea and stands ready to prove himself in the ring. A versatile fighter with wins in Korea’s Spirit MC and Neofight amateur leagues, Lee Yong Jae stands ready to make the move to professional status. Lee boasts an undefeated amateur record of 8-0 and had this to say about his Chinese opponent, “Wang Sai is a tough fighter and has already defeated a Korean opponent. I want to avenge the loss of my countryman and show the Art of War fans that I am ready to face the best fighters in this region. I hope Wang Sai is training hard because I am ready to fight.”

Rolles Gracie (2-0) of Brazil puts his legendary family’s reputation on the line as faces his toughest challenge yet in Australia’s Peter “The Chief” Graham. Gracie is coming off an impressive victory at Art of War 12 where he finished his opponent with a rear naked choke. Always up for a challenge, Gracie will have to execute the perfect game strategy if he wants to add another win to his record. Gracie comments, “Peter Graham is a dangerous striker and a very strong athlete, but my family has been playing this game for many decades. I am training hard and I am confident that my skills will bring me another victory.”

Peter Graham (0-2) is a former K-1 fighter and an expert striker, with over 54 professional kickboxing bouts and 29 knock-outs to his credit. Graham is most recognized for his 2006 stunning KO victory of K-1 Grand Prix winner Badr Hari using his trademark, “Rolling Thunder” spinning kick. In 2008, Graham has made the jump to mixed martial arts where he has fought twice the Sengoku promotion of Japan. Graham brings his knock out power to Macau at Art of War 14 and states, “It will be my pleasure to fight against Rolles Gracie. I have been working hard and I have a solid game plan. If Gracie gives me the opportunity, I will knock him out.”

Kim Dong Hyun (4-2) burst onto the Korean MMA scene as the season winner of the GO! Super Korean MMA reality TV show. What was even more amazing was that he was fresh out of high school at the time. Since his debut, Kim has made a name for himself inside Korea’s Spirit MC where he holdsthe Inter-league 5 championship, defeating 3 opponents in a single evening. Kim displayed impressive skills at AOW13, where he used his solid fight experience to defeat his opponent with a series of devastating elbows, forcing the doctor to stop the fight.Kim comments, “Vaughn Anderson has fought many times in Art of War and is a tough opponent. It will be my honor to fight against him.”

Vaughn “Blood” Anderson (3-1) has been out of the ring since Art of War 11, where he finished his Korean opponent, Han Dong Ho, in spectacular fashion with a rear naked choke. Anderson has been in training camp, honing his skills for the next battle. When he discovered his opponent was Kim Dong Hyun from AOW13, Anderson remarked, “Kim is a young fighter with lots to prove, and this makes him an especially dangerous opponent. I have been training like a madman and I believe in my skills as a martial artist. No doubt this will be a great test for me. Expect to see a submission or KO. This fight is not going the distance.”


Arthit Hanchana

Arthit Hanchana (2-2) hails from Thailand and is a professional Muay Thai fighter now making his transition to mixed martial arts. Hanchana has been working diligently on his ground fighting skills and is not afraid to showcase his submission abilities during his bouts. When asked how he felt about taking on “The Wolf” Dai Shuang Hai, Hanchana replied, “He is one of China’s most experienced MMA fighters and has fought many tough opponents. I see some weaknesses in his striking game which I will exploit and my submissions are much stronger now. I feel I have a very good chance of defeating him.”

Dai Shuang Hai (8-0-4) is one of China’s top MMA fighters at his weight and posses formidable striking and submission skills. His fierce style and colorful entrances have made him a favorite amongst the Chinese audience. Dai has had a string of draws in his last 3 fights, which have lead many to say that Dai has lost his killer instinct. Dai responds, “I want to put on the best possible performance for my fans and I hope that they will not judge me from my recent performances. Hanchana is on the rise and wants to make a name for himself. I must make a great show for the fans and finish my opponent. KO or submission, it doesn’t matter.”
